Mini Challenge

Sarah Arrow set a mini challenge this week to write about why blog, successes through blogging & using blogging, the journey from where you were to where you are.

So why blog?  I think it is a brilliant way of engaging with people, communicating with people through the written word, reading comments & enjoying replying.  It builds rapport, you gain ‘followers’ & you create a tribe of like minded people.

To begin with it stretches your writing muscles; it might take a whole day to get your thoughts down on paper with all the grammar & punctuation correct.   I think if you can get over the perfection issue & just talk to the people who want to hear what you have to say, practice will take care of the rest.  The more you do the better you become at it.

When I first met Sarah I had no idea that blogging could be a profitable business!

Some people blog for fun; as a journal; detailing information they are passionate about & some people use blogging as a way of making money.   Then there are bloggers with large email lists who only have to mention a product & their followers will buy raking them in a small fortune.

Just do it!

If you just want to get started you can try out some of the free sites like google, blogger & wordpress.   If you would like something more, like this one of mine maybe, just get in touch & I will be happy to help.

So successes from blogging?  I am hugely proud of the sites I have created and the engagement on my behindthetruth.co.uk is gaining momentum. I am getting the message out there at long last!

With that confidence I realised I could totally revamp this site & expand on my private coaching business to include online content.  So this is the beginning of susieellis.net v2!

I am now, officially, a fan of blogging!

Let me know if I can help…

Sarah has made a hugely successful business out of blogging & I am grateful for her inspiration & knowledge… you can find her on Facebook & on her website sarkemedia.com, where you can also join her 30 Day Blogging Challenge.

Hi Susie! I took on the mini challenge too and enjoyed writing my post. Blogging is perhaps the best thing to happen especially in today’s world where everyone is too busy to connect – yet wants to keep in touch. It also keeps us sane when we work from home!

Good luck with your business. I enjoyed your post!
